COMMUNICATION BLACKOUT [EGR ACTUATOR]
(DTC CODE U1122 / DIAGNOSIS MONITOR CODE 8)

1. Inspect an actuator relay.
   

   Standard: No abnormality

NO Inspect the actuator relay and fuse circuit.	YES Proceed to [2] Inspection item

1. Inspect the CAN communication circuit.

 

1. Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position and disconnect the EGR actuator connector.
2. Turn the starter key "ON" and measure voltage between the 3rd and 4th terminals of the EGR actuator connector (vehicle harness side).

    

   

   Standard value: 16-32 V

NO Faulty harness

YES Faulty EGR actuator

1. Confirm the DTC U1122 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC U1122 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred

   

U1122 is reoccur: Return to first process Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
