ABNORMALITY IN VOLTAGE OF ACCELERATOR SENSOR 1
(DTC CODE P2121 / DIAGNOSIS MONITOR CODE 22)

1. Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position and connect the signal check harness.
2. Disconnect the accelerator sensor connector and turn the starter key "ON."
3. Measure voltage between the 4th and 2nd terminals of the accelerator sensor connector (vehicle harness side).
   
   
   
   
   Standard value: 4.5-5.5 V

NO Go to [2] Measuring voltage between terminals.	YES Go to [3] Measuring voltage between terminals.

1. Measure voltage between the terminals V50 and V45 or V65.

   Standard value: 4.5-5.5 V

NO Fault in engine ECU and/or ECU connectors	YES Faulty harness

1. Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position and connect the accelerator sensor connector.
2. Turn the starter key "ON" and measure voltage between the terminals V47 and V45 or V65.

   

   

   The standard value at full throttle indicated below was determined based on actual measurement data.

NO Go to [4] Measuring resistance between sensor terminals.

YES Fault in engine ECU and/or ECU connectors

1. Keep the accelerator sensor connector connected.
2. Measure voltage between the 5th and 2nd terminals of the accelerator sensor connector (vehicle harness side).

   

   

   • This figure illustrates the accelerator sensor connector viewed from the connecting face.

   • The standard value at full throttle indicated below was determined based on actual measurement data.

NO Fault in accelerator sensor

YES Harness disconnection or short-circuit

1. Confirm the DTC P2121 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC P2121 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred

   

P2121 is reoccur: Return to first process Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
