AIR FLOW SENSOR POWER SUPPLY [GND SHORT-CIRCUIT]
(DTC CODE P06D3 / DIAGNOSIS MONITOR CODE 5)

1. Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position and disconnect the air flow sensor connector.
2. Use HINO-DX to delete past malfunctions and then output diagnosis codes again.
   

   

   Standard: The DTC code P06D3 must not be output.

    

NO Go to [2] Measuring resistance between terminals.	YES Fault in air flow sensor

1. Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position and connect the signal check harness.
2. Measure resistance between the terminals E12 and E78.
   

   

   ECU terminal No.	Description of terminal
   E12	Air flow power supply
   E78	Sensor GND

   Standard value: ∞ Ω

    

NO Go to [3] Measuring voltage between terminals	YES Faulty harness

1. Turn the starter key ON.
2. Measure voltage between the terminals E12 and E78.
   

   

   ECU terminal No.	Description of terminal
   E12	Air flow power supply
   E78	Sensor GND

   Standard value: 11.5-13.5 V

    

NO Fault in engine ECU	YES Fault in ECU connectors or faulty harness

1. Confirm the DTC P06D3 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC P06D3 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred

   

P06D3 is reoccur: Return to first process Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
