MALFUNCTION OF EXHAUST TEMPERATURE SENSOR [LO]
(1ST FROM UPSTREAM) LOCATED UNDER ATC
(DTC CODE P0545 / DIAGNOSIS MONITOR CODE 27)

1. Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position and connect the signal check harness.
2. Disconnect the signal check harness connectors from the ECU and measure resistance between the terminals E58 and V90.

NO Go to [2] Measuring resistance between sensor terminals.	YES Fault in engine ECU, fault in ECU connectors, short-circuit in harness

1. Disconnect a connector of the DPR exhaust gas temperature sensor 1.
2. Measure resistance between the 1st and 2nd terminals of the DPR exhaust temperature sensor 1 connector (component side).

NO Fault in exhaust temperature sensor (located under ATC)	YES Disconnection of harness, fault in connector

1. Confirm the DTC P0545 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC P0545 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred

   

P0545 is reoccur: Return to first process Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
