ABNORMALITY OF BOOST PRESSURE SENSOR CHARACTERISTIC
(DTC CODE P0106 / DAIGNOSIS MONITOR CODE 17)

1. Connect the PC DIAGNOSIS TOOL (HINO-DX).

   
   

   
   

2. Set the stater switch to "ON".
3. Confirm that no other MC or DTC is displayed. If another the MC No. 37 or DTC No. P0106 is displayed again. Especially in case of display MC or DTC in regard to engine speed sensor (main andsub) system, perform repair so that these MC or DTC are not displayed.
4. Measure the boost pressure in accordance with the screen of theturbocharger inspection.
   

   Standard: More than 110 kpa {1.122 kgf/cm², 15.95 Ibf/in.2}

5. If the above check shows no abnormalities, erase the MC or DTC and start the engine. If the same MC or DTC is displayed again,following malfunctions can be assumed.
   (1) Clogging or leakage of the hose between boost pressure sensor and intake pipe.
   (2) Improper connection, loosen or leakage of the boost hose.

NO Malfunction of boost pressure sensor.	YES Normal

1. Confirm the DTC P0106 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC P0106 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred

   

P0106 is reoccur: Return to first process Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
